Teaser Tuesdays

The Teaser "And then I go back into Chloe's room and there it is, leaning against the wall by her bed - the last painting Mom did before losing her mind, the one with the angel at the end of the alley, hanged and bleeding on a chain-link fence. She sits in here, Chloe, staring at it seeing it as beautiful in the way some people always see sad things as beautiful."

New Character's, Bad News

So, right now I'm reading Michal by Jill Eileen Smith. The book is part of 'The Wives of King David' series. I'm almost finish with book, but I've come to the worst part of reading (at least I think it is). And what is the worst part of reading, you may ask? well I'll tell you, its knowing that this character that you've grown to love and fill like you know so well, turns out to have the ending that you never want to happen to your favorite character in the book you're reading.

For those of you who know the story of Michal and David from the Bible then you know what I'm talking about. Well I've got four short chapters left in the book. I'll let you know soon, what the outcome of the book was. If you've never heard of this story I encourage you to go grab a bible some where and start reading it. It's a classic love story. It starts in 1 Samuel 16:23. It's a good place to start for this book series. I hope you enjoy it. Bye for now.

History Revealed: Book Review

'If there's a will there's a way.'

If Lady Elder, Lord Morgandale's grandmother were alive today she would most likely credit Lord Chesterfield for that insightful quote. Along with that quote, a quote that could most assuredly cure most any problem Morgan faced; Lady elder would also say that Lord Chesterfield was one of the wisest men to have ever lived...

Morgan, himself thought would call the man daft, and say that Lord Chesterfield had never experienced a real days work in his life time. With no real use for polite society, Lord Morgan spent most of his days lately in the country, living in his grandmothers' old house. With no one to bother him, and all his servants having left for vacation: minus the house's main caretaker, he's called for a well learned woman in the art of bed loving. Waiting around for her to rid him of all the desires running through his loins, the last thing he wanted to do was take on the young woman, Arianna Sweet who's looking for her fathers murderer. But finding the murderer is the easy part, the hard part is trying to resist Miss Sweet's exotic personality and keep his lustful thoughts to himself.

Lord Morgandale was not who Arianna Sweet had wanted to get help from, but after finding out that Lady Elder was dead who else does she have? The hard part is getting Lord Morgan to believe what she's saying about her fathers research, while still keeping the big secret about what the research is used for. Now if she could just try out her Belly Dancing skills in peace with out others looking in her window her life would be so much easier.

Ok so I really loved this series - The Rogues' Dynasty. An Earl To Enchant happens to be the third and final book in the series. I was captured by page one of the first book with the delightful quotes from Lord Chesterfield, and I was not disappointed with the latest book. Amella Grey has really out done herself with this series. Now it has some strong romance in it, and by strong I mean a few sex scenes, and lots of references to having sex. So if your not into that kind of book this is not for you. Not one bit. So, that aside the book is 344 pages long, but also a very quick read. I give this book a big A+ and rate it for ages 18+. Happy reading and remember to stay In Tune With Books!

Musing Mondays

This weeks Musing Mondays is hosted by Should Be Reading

This weeks musing asks...

What makes you love/hate a character in a book?
I love characters that capture your heart because there emotions are seeping of the pages.
I hate characters that have bad attitudes for no good reason and I don't like the boys or girls that break someones heart.
So what about you guys? What makes you love or hate a character?

lost it by Kristen Tracy

So normally you'd think that starting a relationship on a lie would be a bad thing right? Antt wrong. The way Tess Whistle sees it, it's a better way to cover up just how ditsy and child-like she really is. Convincing Benjamin Easter -or better known as Ben- that she had a life threatening disease wasn't as hard as she thought it would be, all she need was a box full of apple juice and extremely small shoes.

But that wasn't even the weirdest part about this Summer. Zena Crow, Tess's best friend has been on a downward spiral since her parents split up and on top of that both of Tess's crazy religious parents seem to be going through midlife crisis. Talk about starting of the new school year, as a Junior wrong. But, Tess has an optimistic air about her and with a new guy on her arm, she feels like she's on cloud nine. Will it all work out for her in the end or will her lies finally catch up to her? Well lets just say her senior year will be a lot better that this one, or at least she hopes so.

So, this book took me a little long to read just because the first two chapters kind of dragged. But once I was past the first couple of chapters I was in it good. I thought it had a lot of good morals that were learned throughout the book. Many first, many mess ups, and many, many kiss. So I give this book a B- and a 13+ rating because of underage sex, and trust me there are quite a few romps in this book. The book has 276 pages with big font, so its a fairly easy read. Enjoy and tell me what you think. As always happy reading all!
